Privacy Policy

Effective July 21, 2026

DailySync is operated by Aperca LLC. Creating an account is optional.

Offline use

When you continue without an account, web notes stay in that browser's local storage and are not sent to DailySync servers. The extension stores notes in Chrome local storage or optional Chrome Sync. Clearing browser data or uninstalling may remove local data.

Optional accounts and sync

If you create an account, we process your name, email, password hash, synced notes, revision metadata, and API-key metadata to authenticate you, synchronize your data, provide API access, prevent abuse, and operate the service. We do not sell personal information or use note content for advertising.

AI and integrations

DailySync does not automatically send notes to an AI provider. A third party that receives your DailySync API key can read and write your cloud notes. You control and can revoke those keys; the third party's privacy terms apply.

Providers and security

The optional service uses Railway and PostgreSQL infrastructure. Chrome Sync is operated by Google. Passwords use Argon2 hashing, sessions use HTTP-only cookies, and API keys are stored as hashes. No system can guarantee absolute security.

Retention and choices

Local data remains until you or your browser removes it. Cloud data remains while your account is active and for reasonable backup, security, or legal-retention periods. You may use DailySync offline, sign out, revoke keys, and request access to or deletion of cloud data.
